Over the last six months, Covia – in partnership with Balloon Latam – has continued to help transform communities in Mexico. Covia remains committed to investing in global initiatives and advancing our communities.

Covia has the privilege of managing a variety of natural resources, which is why conservation and community well-being are deeply embedded in how we operate our mining and processing facilities.

In addition to improving our data collection methods, we closely monitor our year-over-year emissions to guide resource allocation, take corrective action as needed, and ensure we are making progress against our 2030 goal.

Our dedication to operating sustainably is firmly embedded in our company culture, and we believe that understanding and managing our environmental impact necessarily guides WHERE WE’RE GOING.

Covia Team Members are our most important asset and that’s why we’re committed to supporting them in every aspect of their lives. We recently announced the launch of the Covia Cares Emergency Relief Fund, administered by Emergency Assistance Foundation (EAF).

From advising on Canadian legislation to creating organization-wide environmental initiatives, I am appreciative for the experiences and opportunities Covia has encouraged me to pursue throughout my eight years with the company.

Throughout the year, several Covia locations supported pollinator populations by organizing Team Member and community awareness initiatives, maintaining on-site hives and pollinator-friendly gardens, and engaging with apiaries and local organizations.
