Covia has placed increased focus on improving the quality and reliability of the safety data it tracks at the site level by implementing advanced reporting and measurement capabilities.

Today, September 10, 2024, all Covia locations are participating in a company-wide Safety Day. The 2024 theme is Emergency Preparedness to ensure that Covia team members are exceptionally prepared to respond to any emergency.

Covia continues to prioritize reducing the risk of exposure to respirable silica dust and related diseases, such as silicosis.

Covia highlights the dedication and leadership of Team Members who have made a significant impact on the job or in their communities by sharing their stories. Today we recognize Carol DeNure, Office Administrator at Covia’s Blue Mountain plant located in Havelock, Canada.

Every Covia facility is responsible for upholding high standards of safety, health, and security performance. Each year, Covia recognizes plants that display exemplary performance and dedication to its Safety First value.

Covia is diligent in protecting the health of its employees through robust Occupational Health and Industrial Hygiene programs, many of which rely on established external frameworks.

In 2023, Covia continued to use safety training and education opportunities with Team Members, contractors, and visitors to reinforce our Safety First mindset and commitments.
