Diversity and Inclusion

There are rainbows and events galore as people from all walks of life celebrate love, diversity, and acceptance. It’s a time of celebration, yes. But it’s also a month for reflection and solidarity, as we commemorate the LGBTQIA+ community and its struggles and triumphs.

In addition to kudos from colleagues, many of our female scientists have been recognized externally. In the last three years, 12 women in the department have been honored with individual awards or as key contributors in team awards.

The arrival in Normandy started with a heroes’ welcome by school children and World War II re-enactors in Houlgate followed by a visit to Le Memorial de Caen, a museum and war memorial commemorating World War II and the Battle of Normandy.

As part of Southern Company's commitment to promoting inclusion within the communities it serves, this new partnership will enable the organization to support aspiring golfers who historically have been underrepresented in the sport.

Cintas embraces and supports its LGBTQ+ employee-partners in part through IMPACT, a Partner Business Resource Group (PBRG) that is focused on fostering engagement and collaboration between LGBTQ+ employee-partners and allies to help amplify their voices.
