Teck Resources Limited has published its 2010 Sustainability Report, marking the company’s tenth year of sustainability reporting. Teck has presented its sustainability reporting in two complementary components, the 2010 Sustainability Report and the 2010 Sustainability Review: www.teck.com/sustainability

The 2010 Sustainability Review, released in August 2011, is an overview of Teck’s key sustainability issues, as well as its vision and goals for a sustainable future. Using narrative, visuals and case studies, the 2010 Sustainability Review describes Teck’s strategy for sustainability.

The 2010 Sustainability Report provides key performance data and complies with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) at the A+ Application Level. Progress in GRI reporting and alignment with the International Council on Mining and Metals’ 10 Sustainable Development Principles was independently reviewed by Deloitte & Touche LLP.

2010 Highlights Include:
Formation of Teck’s Sustainability Working Group – made up of employees from areas across the company, this group has led Teck’s strategy development process
Identification of key sustainability focus areas – Community, Water, Ecosystems and Biodiversity, Energy and Climate Change, Materials Stewardship and Our People
Creation of long- and short-term goals – for the first time, Teck has set long-term goals that stretch to 2030 and short-term goals that stretch to 2015
