To celebrate National Arbor Day — the tree planting holiday — on April 24, International Paper encourages people to take action and plant trees in their communities. The Arbor Day Foundation has also provided resources to celebrate the holiday while observing social distancing at www.celebratearborday.com. Urban trees help clean the air and water, reduce stormwater runoff, sequester carbon and reduce the urban heat island effect.

Launched in 2019, Time for Trees unites corporations, communities, and individuals under the goal of planting 100 million trees and inspiring 5 million tree planters by Arbor Day of 2022.
