Conference presented by Sempra Energy, Mission Federal Credit Union and University of San Diego helps non-profits and businesses form effective partnerships

/PRNewswire/ - The San Diego Chapter of the American Marketing Association (SDAMA) is hosting the annual AMA Cause Marketing Conference March 15-16, 2011. For the 13th consecutive year, attendees can participate in workshops covering many of the challenges facing the cause marketing industry at the West Coast's largest partnership event for non-profit and business executives.
For the first time, a business-only event will take place from 5:30 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 15 at the Hilton Del Mar. Sponsored by San Diego Grantmakers, the event will feature a discussion on "Aligning Philanthropic and Business Goals for Maximum Impact" with panelists including Bea Boccalandro, professor at Georgetown University and Boston College's Center for Corporate Social Responsibility; Dan Ginsberg, CEO of Dermalogica; Caroline Barlerin, global citizenship director of HP; and Karen Bergin, senior director of corporate communications and citizenship of Microsoft.
Multiple workshops will take place from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on March 16 at the University of San Diego's Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace & Justice. Representatives from Chevron, Gillette, Macy's, DonorsChoose.org, Kiva.org, and the Make-a-Wish Foundation will also participate at the event. Cause Marketing Forum President David Hessekiel will deliver the keynote address as the founder of the industry's leading resource on building mutually beneficial business/nonprofit alliances.
Tickets are $119 before March 4 and $179 after March 4 for AMA members, Cause Partner organization members and non-profit organizations, and $139 before March 4 and $189 after March 4 for non-members and business attendees.
