Strategic Sustainability Consulting, a boutique firm focused on helping clients address their environmental and social impacts, has completed its certification as a B Corporation.

Certified B Corporations are corporations that use business to solve social and environmental issues by addressing two major issues:

1. corporate law that misaligns incentives between profits, employees, the community, and environmental well-beingthe lack of transparent standards differentiating good
2. companies from good marketing, i.e. greenwashers

"We've always made transparency and accountability a core focus of our internal operations," said Jennifer Woofter, Strategic Sustainability Consulting's founder and president. "Becoming a B Corporation was a natural step in integrating these values into the very fabric of our company's legal structure."

In order to become a B Corp, Strategic Sustainability Consulting had to pass the B Impact Rating System, demonstrate that its legal framework integrates social, environmental, and community values throughout the company, and complete the necessary paperwork. Strategic Sustainability Consulting is proud to participate in the B Corp network, which is setting the new corporate standard for social and environmental performance. Since it's founding in 2007, B Lab has certified over three hundred eighty companies with a collective market presence of $1.82 billion, and across fifty-four industries.
