Big Companies Gather For Asia's Biggest Corporate Responsibility Conference

Hong Kong - On October 14 and 15 in Hong Kong, some of the largest brands in the world will gather to discuss the state of corporate responsibility across the region.

On October 14 in Hong Kong, Ethical Corporation will hold the second annual Managing Corporate Responsibility in Asia conference at the Kowloon Shangri-La Hotel.

The conference will provide an overview of the latest movements and strategies being undertaken by some of the biggest companies in the world when it comes to ethical performance.

In off-the-record sessions, companies and civil society groups will also discuss how firms can get to grips with some of the most difficult issues facing responsible business in Asia.

Areas such as human rights, environmental protection, small business engagement and anti-corruption tactics will all be debated at the conference in small groups and informal workshops.

Among the companies speaking at and attending the conference are:

Adidas-Salomon, BP Asia Ltd, Cisco Systems, Coca-Cola Asia, Disney, DuPont China, Eaton Corporation, FedEx, GAP Inc, GlaxoSmithKline Philipines, Hewlett Packard, HSBC, KappAhl AB, Nestle Philippines, Mattel, Nike, PepsiCo, Sears, Shell, Tata Motors, Tetra Pak, Timberland, and Titan Industries.

The Asian Development Bank and many leading NGOs will also take part in the event discussions and sessions on October 14-15.
