GAITHERSBURG, Md. - December 2, 2008 - Sodexo, a leading food and facilities management services company, has appointed Holly Fowler as senior director of corporate citizenship training and innovation, a move intended to more deeply connect the company's sustainability strategy with its 120,000-person workforce in order to drive enhanced results for its 6,000 clients in North America.

Fowler, who has been with Sodexo in leadership and training roles on the global level for nearly ten years, is an expert on corporate social responsibility and sustainable development. She is a frequent presenter at academic conferences worldwide and is currently vice president of outreach for the Net Impact Boston professional chapter, a global network of leaders who are generating social and environmental change through business.

The effort will extend Sodexo's ability to deliver unsurpassed sustainability solutions to its clients and help them achieve sustainability goals. "Promoting sustainable development is one of today's most important priorities for our clients and achieving it requires commitment, action, and innovation," said Arlin Wasserman, vice president, corporate citizenship. "Holly is an excellent addition to our team with her experience in promoting innovative and sustainable business practices in our industry as well as her insights, which add another dimension to Sodexo’s global corporate citizenship commitment."
