Our 2015 Sustainability Report entitled, “Building the Future” communicates our firm and ongoing commitment to addressing the difficult challenges facing our operating markets. We continue to seek ambitious, innovative approaches to further the socio-economic development of our communities by developing a sustainability agenda that is aligned with global best practices.

The contents of this report demonstrate that we as an organization are dedicated to supporting the achievement of the Post-2015 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and are continuously taking determined steps to ensure that we operate ethically and responsibly. Part of this approach has been to continue developing inclusive and accessible products and services, particularly as human displacement and conflict in the region continues to unfold.

Our sustainability reporting guidelines remain adherent to the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) G4 framework, and is partially assured by independent auditors that have authenticated the report contents. This year, we have also outlined within the report our alignment with the United Nations Guiding Principles (UNGP) on Business and Human Rights Reporting Framework which highlights our support for human rights issues that are most relevant to the organization.

We remain committed in maintaining our leadership position in pursuing sustainability internally and externally, ensuring that Zain remains a force for positive growth and prosperity throughout our markets.
