Report Highlights

FedEx announces its FY14 Global Citizenship Report, "Moving Possibilities," now available at csr.fedex.com. The report, in its seventh year of publication, tracks the company's efforts to connect the world responsibly and resourcefully in four key areas (validated this year by a materiality assessment of key stakeholders):

Economic Development
FedEx links over 90 percent of the global GDP and is facilitating the growth of global entrepreneurship through trade. Companies participating in the ExporTech trade program reported average sales increase of US$770K-900K in six to nine months after the completion. FedEx invested US$6.5 billion in diverse supplier spending, which includes small businesses, and minority and women owned businesses.

Environment
FedEx saved more than 100 million gallons of jet fuel through FedEx® Fuel Sense programs and aircraft modernization efforts. A leader in alternative fuel technologies, the company reached a milestone of more than 1,000 alternative fuel vehicles in its owned and contracted fleet. FedEx was again recognized in 2014 as a Top 25 Solar-generating Company in the U.S.

Community
FedEx donated US$45.48 million in charitable contributions in FY14. Its fleet moved more than 140 pallets of vital medical supplies as a charitable shipment for Ebola relief. Given its commitment to safety, FedEx celebrated 15 years with Safe Kids Walk This Way campaign, which has expanded to 10 countries, reaching more than 10 million students globally.

People
FedEx team members are its greatest assets. The company sent a record number of 138 drivers to the National Truck Driving Championships, four of whom were crowned National Champions. FedEx also expanded its online training program, the FedEx Learning Center, to offer more than 14,000 online courses to team members. The company launched the Healthways Well-Being program with personalized resources to help team members manage their health in FY14.
