This report highlights Optus’ ongoing commitment to make a positive impact in the community, improve customer experience and reduce its environmental footprint.
Key highlights during the financial year ending March 31st 2011 include:
• connecting more Australians through continued investment in our network
• developing innovative products and services for our customers
• helping improve literacy levels in young people through mobile technology
• launching the ‘Text to Donate’ initiative with The Australia Red Cross to assist communities affected by the New Zealand and Japan earthquakes
• implementing a new supplier code of practice
• delivering energy initiatives across the organisation
This year’s report also includes a focus on Optus’ support to assist and connect communities affected by the devastation of Cyclone Yasi and Queensland floods.
