Philips publishes latest sustainability performance

Philips has published its latest information on sustainability performance. In its third integrated annual report on financial, social and environmental performance, Philips announced that in 2010 the company:

invested more than EUR 450 million in Green Innovation, achieving its EUR 1 billion investment target two years ahead of schedule.
will allocate an additional EUR 2 billion to Green Innovation by 2015.
increased Green Product sales to 38 per cent of overall sales – up from 31 per cent in 2009.
reduced its carbon footprint by 7 per cent and increased overall operational energy efficiency by 6 per cent.

In 2010, Philips also made significant progress with its supplier sustainability program, auditing 273 supplier sites against its supplier sustainability declaration, bringing the total since 2005 to 1,591 full scope audits.

This is the first year that the Annual Report will not be available in a print version. From the website, stakeholders have the opportunity to print personally selected chapters in an eco-friendly format.
