El Paso’s CSR provides a comprehensive overview of the company’s sustainability efforts, programs, and initiatives. In its CSR, El Paso reports on more than 30 Global Reporting Initiative G3 profile disclosures and 13 performance indicators in support of its vision to be the Place to Work, the Neighbor to Have, and the Company to Own. Key sustainability highlights include the following: Recycling Efforts: Recycled close to 3,900 tons of construction waste as part of a comprehensive recycling program related to the remodeling of the company’s downtown Houston headquarters.
Greenhouse Gas Reporting: Became the first natural gas company to obtain a complete approved greenhouse gas emissions inventory from the California Climate Action Registry.
Carbon-neutral Infrastructure Development: Received Federal Energy Regulatory Commission approval to construct Ruby Pipeline, the first carbon-neutral interstate natural gas pipeline in U.S. history.
Delivering Energy Solutions: Delivered consistent execution on business strategies and programs focused on producing, transporting, and selling natural gas, the most environmentally friendly of all fossil fuels.
