The report marks a milestone in the company's history as it successfully made the transition to the third Licence
Camelot, operator of the UK National Lottery since its inception in 1994, has just published its 10th Stakeholder Report, available online at: www.camelotgroup.co.uk/crreport2009/.
The report marks a milestone in Camelot’s history as it successfully made the transition to the third Licence on 1 February 2009 while implementing considerable changes to its communication systems and operating structure. The ‘Ready’ theme of the report has been chosen to reflect the new licence period.
The company has achieved its best sales performance in 10 years, in turn creating the greatest return to the Good Causes at £1.37 billion, and has committed to increasing the proportion of this return throughout the new licence. Other significant achievements include maintaining its position as a leader in setting standards for player protection worldwide as well as strengthening its own systems at preventing excessive and underage play.
The report is independently assured to a high level by Deloitte using the revised AA1000AS (2008) Standard. It also contains a statement by Camelot’s independent Advisory Panel for Corporate Responsibility.
