ArcelorMittal has announced the publication of its first Corporate Responsibility report 2007; Taking Responsibility for Transforming Tomorrow. The report is available as a pdf download from www.arcelormittal.com/index.php?lang=en&page=660

Following on from the publication of a Corporate Social Responsibility review in January 2008, ArcelorMittal has published a more detailed report describing the systems and objectives being put in place since the merger of Arcelor and Mittal Steel.

Highlights of the report include:

putting forward the business case for corporate responsibility;
description of the corporate responsibility management and governance structure;
recently introduced standards to improve health and safety performance;
addressing key issues in sensitive countries of operation including Liberia and India;
the role of steel in developing the infrastructure of the modern world;
product innovations to meet automotive and construction safety standards as well as global environmental challenges through renewable technologies.
