Chevron Corporation has published its sixth corporate responsibility report, titled "Energy>Partnership", which is now available at www.chevron.com/cr-2007. The report provides descriptions, data and perspective on the company's social, economic and environmental performance for 2007. Highlights include the following:

Chevron performed better than its goal on reducing GHG emissions and adopted seven policy principles it believes are necessary for the development of flexible and economically sound climate change policies.
Chevron's renewable energy strategy continued to move forward with new alliances created to research and develop biofuels from nonfood sources and reduce carbon emissions.
A record of approximately $119 million was invested in community engagement activities, with about 68 percent of these funds used to help meet basic human needs, provide education and career training, and support local businesses.
Chevron announced a $30 million, three-year investment in the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.
Overall safety performance improved. The Total Recordable Incident Rate of the company's work force decreased by 17 percent, the sixth consecutive year of improvement.
The company supported collaborative efforts to address energy security and other energy challenges.
Chevron engaged Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance for verification of its health, environment and safety data reporting processes.
