Responsible Foresting Around the World Helps Us All

Responsible Foresting Around the World Helps Us All

Although more than 90% of the wood and wood fiber used in our operations comes from the United States, Georgia-Pacific LLC purchases fiber from other countries when the characteristics of those species provide product performance attributes that our consumers and customers prefer. These products help people improve their lives and are made responsibly. As a part of our due care program, we spend time in these regions, meeting with our suppliers, visiting their timberlands and communities, and discussing the environmental and social values that are relevant to the region. In a trip last week, we saw how the preferred partnerships we have with our global suppliers are resulting in good forest stewardship.
