CNH Industrial brand Case IH has entered a new partnership with the National Industrial Learning Service (Senai) and the National Rural Learning Service (Senar). Together, they will offer a series of professional training courses for young people and adults in Mato Grosso, Brazil.
The project will offer over 30,000 certifications. Participants can take courses on machinery operation and maintenance and receive technical training. In some locations, they can specialize in digital agriculture and become young apprentices too. And this is just the first stage.
"Case IH, as a pioneer in the manufacture of innovative machines and solutions, knows that digital agriculture is a reality in the field and that having a trained workforce is fundamental to these changes. Therefore, we are investing more than R$ 36 million only in the first stage of this collaborative project", says Christian Gonzalez, Vice President of Case IH for Latin America.
In the next decade, there will be over 500,000 jobs in agribusiness (according to Research in Emerging Professions in the Digital Age, 2021). The project will meet this need, increasing employability and reducing the shortage of skilled labor.
The project’s first stage will last three years.
"We will expand this project throughout the country, preparing the labor market for the evolutions that digital agriculture brings and will still bring to the field. Thus, contributing to the development not only of the agricultural sector, but also of the whole of Brazil”, emphasizes Gonzalez.
Mato Grosso
Mato Grosso is Brazil’s largest soybean producer, with a planted area of roughly 11.8 million hectares (according to Mato Grosso Institute of Agricultural Economics). In the first half of 2022, the agricultural area generated more than 11,000 new jobs in the state.
"In addition to the high productivity, which is undeniable, we have a long history with Mato Grosso, since Case IH began its operation in the country serving this region. This was one of the reasons that led us to start training there,” comments Eduardo Penha, Director of Marketing and Communications at Case IH for Latin America.
