WASHINGTON, September 26, 2022 /CSRwire/ - The Hispanic Association on Corporate Responsibility (HACR) is pleased to announce that Rob Lynch, President & CEO of Papa John’s International and Dr. John O. Agwunobi, Chairman & CEO of Herbalife Nutrition will take part in the annual HACR CEO Roundtable at the 30th Annual HACR Symposium: The Power of Hispanic Inclusion™. The session is set for 2:30 PM PT on Wednesday, September 28 and will culminate the three-day event.

Since 2007, the HACR CEO Roundtable has been the flagship forum of the annual HACR Symposium: The Power of Hispanic Inclusion™, which itself is in its 30th year. The roundtable is the oldest continuous annual Fortune 500 CEO forum for a Hispanic audience in the country. Over forty CEOs have participated since its inception.

“It is a great privilege to have Rob Lynch and Dr. John O. Agwunobi participate in this year’s HACR CEO Roundtable,” said Cid Wilson, President and CEO at HACR. “These are two CEOs of multibillion dollar companies with unique perspectives on diversity, equity, and inclusion. We’re thrilled to host this fireside-style dialogue, and we’re grateful to have award-winning investigative reporter and NBC4 anchor, Lolita Lopez, leading this discussion as moderator.”

Lynch has just completed his third year as President and Chief Executive Officer of Papa John's International, Inc. (NASDAQ: PZZA), one of the world's largest pizza delivery companies. Shortly after his arrival at the company, he made a public pledge to improve diversity and inclusion at the Louisville, Kentucky-based organization. This included the creation of an Inclusion Council that meets monthly to discuss inclusion of Hispanic people and other historically marginalized groups.

Lynch joined Papa John’s from Arby’s Restaurant Group where he rose from Brand President and Chief Marketing Officer, a position he held from 2013 until 2017, to President. During his time at Arby’s, he led the brand’s turn-around to strong growth and profitability. Prior to Arby’s, he served as Vice President of Marketing at Taco Bell. He has more than 20 years combined experience in the quick service restaurant and consumer packaged goods industries, and held senior roles at HJ Heinz Company, and Procter & Gamble.

Dr. Agwunobi is a Scottish-born, Nigerian American former public health official, pediatrician, and the CEO and Executive Chairman of Herbalife Nutrition (NYSE: HLF), a global corporation that develops and sells dietary and nutritional supplements, headquartered in Los Angeles. He was formerly senior vice-president of Walmart and president of the retailer's health and wellness business from 2007 to 2014.

His career includes leadership roles in the public sector, most notably as Assistant Secretary for Health for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services from 2005 to 2007, where he was responsible for disease prevention and health promotion. He oversaw the Centers for Disease Control, National Institutes of Health, the Food and Drug Administration, the office of the U.S. Surgeon General, and numerous other public health offices and programs.

Lopez is an investigative reporter and anchor at NBC4 Los Angeles and has been part of the team since 2011. Earlier in her career, she was stationed at Ground Zero for nearly two weeks while covering the World Trade Center tragedy and its years-long aftermath. She has been recognized with several industry awards, including several Los Angeles area Emmy Awards for her live anchoring and investigative reports. She won two New York area Emmy Awards for ‘Best Sports Feature’ and ‘Best Live Sports Coverage.’ She also was praised by New York’s largest Spanish language daily newspaper, El Diario La Prensa, as one of the most outstanding women in the community.

The HACR CEO Roundtable was created in 2007 to provide CEOs from Fortune 500 and HACR corporate member companies with a platform to discuss best practices related to inclusive employment, retention strategies, increasing Hispanic consumer market outreach, and diversity in the corporate boardroom.

The HACR Symposium will gather corporate leaders in diversity and inclusion from September 26-28 for three days of programming on the latest data-based equity and inclusion best practices. The Washington DC-based nonprofit Hispanic inclusion organization will unveil the findings of its 2022 HACR Corporate Inclusion Index™ report on September 27 during the event.
