ATLANTA, September 23, 2022 /CSRwire/ - Georgia-Pacific Consumer Products LP has been named one of the EPA’s SmartWay® High Performers of 2022. This recognition was based on the company’s initiative to undertake the task of shipping consumer goods while keeping environmental stewardship in mind.

High performing SmartWay shippers are gaining significant environmental, energy and cost-saving benefits by improving the efficiency of their transportation and logistics operations. They are leading their respective industries by integrating freight into their sustainability outreach, planning and progress.

SmartWay partners submit efficiency and air quality performance data to the EPA annually. The EPA calculates the data and divides it into five ranked performance ranges. For the past six years SmartWay High Performers have been partners whose efficiency and/or air quality performance falls within the top-ranked performance range.

Georgia-Pacific Consumer Products LP is eager to continue to contribute to a more efficient, productive, and sustainable freight industry.

A complete list of all 2022 SmartWay High Performers, and the criteria for making the list, are available on the SmartWay website: https://www.epa.gov/smartway/smartway-high-performer-lists.
