Earlier this month, volunteers from both Whirlpool Corporation and the city of Benton Harbor, MI came together for our first #Juneteenth Day of Impact to revitalize Union Park in our local headquarters’ community.
“Because it was done in conjunction with the community, and with the city and with residents’ input, I think it’s been an amazing thing. It didn’t happen to them, it wasn’t done for them, it was done with them,” said Benton Harbor City Commissioner Sharon Henderson.
Hear more about the history of the park, its influence on the community, and the impact this revitalization effort will provide for the youth of Benton Harbor in the years to come.
