While we encourage you to leverage the power of recurring payroll deduction and collective giving through your employer's workplace giving program, we realize that option isn't always available to donors. As part of our mission to bring more resources to nonprofits changing the world, we invite you to support America's Charities and our nonprofit members on #GivingTuesday, which takes place on the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving each year - November 30th this year (Nov. 29th in 2022 and Nov. 28th in 2023 if you like to plan ahead).

You can support any of America's Charities' 100+ vetted members (which we vet and approve every year) via credit/debit card by clicking here.

Advocacy, Safety, & Social Justice

This group of nonprofits are for you if you care about safeguarding our civil liberties and constitutional rights; removing barriers for vulnerable people, minorities, and individuals with special needs; protecting victims of domestic abuse and human trafficking; and providing individuals with the resources and freedom to lift themselves up and thrive, regardless of age, gender, ethnicity/race, religion, or sexual orientation.

Animal Welfare, Environmental Protection, and Sustainability

Proper investment and care is critical to preserving our natural resources, conservation that advances economic well-being of people and their communities, protecting pets and wildlife, and preventing unsustainable pressures on our environment that wreak havoc on ecosystems and cause water and food shortages. If you care about supporting animals and protecting the environment, support these nonprofits.

Education, Arts, & Culture

There’s a strong relationship between arts and cultural engagement and educational attainment. Great arts and culture, along with quality education, shape the destiny of future generations and contribute to economic vitality. Donate to these nonprofits to support learning, arts, and life skills both in and out of the classroom!

First Responders, Military, and Disaster Response

Our nation’s military, veterans, and first responders sacrifice a lot to defend our country, serve and protect our local communities, and provide emergency relief when disaster strikes. Support these nonprofits to reduce violence and crime, ensure equity in the delivery of law enforcement, make it safer for those who serve, and honor the fallen who have made the ultimate sacrifice.

Healthcare, Special Needs, & Medical Research

Medical research is critical to advancing how we treat disease, improving quality of life, and for discovering cures. Equally important is advocating for regulations and policies that address healthcare challenges and make society more inclusive and representative of everyone. These nonprofits are working hard to fund and find cures for cancer and age-related illnesses, prevent the spread of diseases, deliver quality healthcare, grant life-changing wishes and healing experiences for children with critical illnesses, and so much more.

Housing, Hunger, & Poverty

More than 42 million people may experience food insecurity, including a potential 13 million children, and as many as 580,000 Americans are homeless on a typical night. Unemployment, household assets, health conditions and disabilities, and race and demographics are all contributing factors that make it difficult to obtain shelter and force families to choose between paying for food, medicine, or utilities. Support these nonprofits who are dedicated to addressing hunger, housing, and poverty.

America's Charities

America's Charities inspires employees and organizations to support the causes they care about. We help nonprofits fundraise unrestricted, sustainable dollars through the workplace, and we help employers achieve their giving, engagement, and social impact goals. We do this to bring more resources to the nonprofits that are changing our world.

Who we serve:

  • Charities – We help charities fundraise recurring, unrestricted, sustainable dollars through the workplace. Click here for a printable list of our members.
  • Employers – We help employers achieve their giving, engagement, and social impact goals. Employers seeking to build or boost a strong culture; engage their employees and help them find purpose and meaning; attract, recruit, and retain talent; and ultimately achieve better corporate profitability and social impact, partner with America's Charities to launch or revitalize their workplace giving programs. We offer employers a suite of employee giving software packages, tools, and resources.
  • Employee Donors – Through our work with charities and employers, we inspire individual donors to connect with great causes, support nonprofits in a recurring, sustainable manner, and make a personal, social impact.

Core Services:

  • We offer a full suite of employee giving and engagement tools, including easy-to-use workplace giving technology platforms ranging from a straightforward, out-of-the-box option, to a comprehensive platform that integrates matching gifts, employee volunteering, cause campaigns, and more. Each of our solutions is tailored to fit an employer's specific needs and social impact goals, and deliver personalized, highly social online giving experiences.
  • We generate sustainable unrestricted financial support for member charities through the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC), state and local giving campaigns and private sector workplace giving campaigns.
  • We provide charitable funds management services to nonprofits and private and public sector employers while maintaining a resolute commitment to transparency and accountability.
  • We provide comprehensive consulting services with expertise in employee engagement, corporate social responsibility (CSR), workplace giving program and strategy development, benchmarking, analysis, and more.
  • We help companies support their employees in times of distress and hardship through Employee Assistance Funds (EAFs), also known as Employee Relief Funds or Employee Crisis Funds. By working with us, a company increases its flexibility around the types of hardships the fund can cover and lowers its administrative burdens.

Since 1980, our collective experience and ability to provide the highest level of personal service and expert consulting to our member charities and employer clients has resulted in more than $750 million for more than 25,000 nonprofits through federal, state and local government, and corporate workplace giving programs.
