To show support of Black athletes and HBCUs, FedEx and NASCAR Cup Series driver Denny Hamlin unveiled a special FedEx Cares paint scheme that will be featured on the #11 car (driven by Hamlin) at the Daytona race this Saturday, August 28th.

This year’s paint scheme has several unique features including an illustration of HBCU college graduates, “Shaping Black Futures” on the quarter panel, and four HBCU school logos - Jackson State, Tennessee State, Mississippi Valley State, and Lemoyne Owen - on the rear bumper. The scheme focuses on FedEx's initiative to shape the future of Black students and foster relationships for talent and recruitment pipeline development across a diverse range of HBCUs.

You can check out the full paint scheme here.

Recently, Hamlin, joined fellow race car driver Bubba Wallace, Jackson State University Athletic Director Ashley Robinson, Tennessee State Head Basketball Coach Penny Collins, and ESPN SportsCenter anchor Elle Duncan to discuss how Black athletes and ally voices have successfully used their platforms to speak out against racial injustice and inspire change. You can watch the conversation here.
