THE GOALS DATABASE

The Embedding Project is a global public-benefit research project that helps companies embed sustainability across their operations and decision-making. The Credible Goals Database is one of the Embedding Project’s most-used public tools. It contains leading sustainability goals and commitments set by large companies globally.

The project team has reviewed over 12,000 sustainability goals and they actively monitor more than 1,200 companies. Every week, they assess new goals against a rigorous and transparent set of criteria. Only leading goals and commitments are included in the database.

ASSESSING SUSTAINABILITY GOALS

To help improve company goal setting, the database includes a transparent assessment rubric and identifies the company information used to arrive at the assessment. You can search the goals in the database by issue, company, sector, trending topics, or the SDGs. You can also search based on the assessment criteria themselves.
