As the United States continues to grapple with the coronavirus pandemic, economic uncertainty, racial justice reckoning and the ever increasing impacts of the climate crisis, the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) have become more relevant than ever. In her new Medium blog, Rebecca Lucore, Covestro LLC’s head of CSR and Sustainability, invites people to attend this year’s virtual THINC30 2020 Summit to learn how the UN SDGs are providing a pathway for social, economic and environmental recovery.
Covestro’s THINC30 2020: The UN SDGs in the New Now: Relevance and Recovery will take place over three morning sessions on October 15th, 20th and 22nd. Each day is devoted to one of the three pillars of sustainability with themes, “Social Resilience,” “Environmental Justice,” and “Economic Empowerment,” respectively. The sessions will feature national, regional and local experts on topics ranging from “Preventative Health Strategies in Low Income Communities,” and “Managing the Local Food Supply Chain” to “Environmental Justice” and “Collaborating for Climate Change” to “Investing in Female and Minority Entreprenuers” and “Building an Inclusive Innovation Ecosystem.” To register, please visit: www.covestro.us/thinc30-summit.
In her role, Lucore is responsible for innovating new approaches to social programs, philanthropy and donations, community relations and sustainability initiatives in North America. She is the architect of the company’s award-winning
i3 (ignite, imagine, innovate), Covestro’s corporate social responsibility program in the U.S. i3 aims to spark curiosity, to envision what could be and to help create it.
