ClimateCare today announces multiple award wins for 2019, including being named as number one employer by Escape the City, winning a ‘B Corp Best for the World’ award (along with being the highest ranked B Corp in the UK), and being presented with a Queen’s Award for Enterprise in Sustainable Development.

ClimateCare has been ranked as the top employer on the Escape the City’s first ever ‘Escape 100’ list, which ranks the top 100 most progressive companies. ClimateCare outperformed over 2,000 participating organisations from around the world and is proud to have scored highest, including a 10/10 score in the employee reviews section.

This accolade comes alongside the news that ClimateCare has once again been recognised, out of a global community of over 1,850 Certified B Corporations, for creating the most positive overall social and environmental impact by the non-profit B Lab. The ‘B Corp Best for the World’ list honours businesses that earned an overall score in the top 10% of all Certified B Corporations globally on the B Impact Assessment. It’s a rigorous and comprehensive assessment of a company’s impact on its workers, community, and the environment.

Earlier this year ClimateCare also won a second Queen’s Award for Enterprise for ‘exceptional contributions to sustainable development’. ClimateCare was just one of six organisations across the UK to win an award in this category.

ClimateCare has gained recognition within its sector as well, winning best wholesaler and best project developer – public health in the 2019 Environmental Finance Voluntary Carbon Market rankings.

ClimateCare, based in Oxford, UK and Nairobi, Kenya, has long been the trusted provider for organisations, governments and individuals who are committed to helping meet their Net Zero target. ClimateCare support organisations who want to turn their climate responsibilities into positive outcomes. It’s trademark Climate+Care approach enables organisations to take responsibility for their residual emissions by funding commensurate Emission Reductions elsewhere, while also improving lives and addressing multiple Sustainable Development Goals. This approach is attracting growing interest from organisations who want to find practical ways to deliver real results for people and the environment.

Commenting on the recent accolades, Vaughan Lindsay CEO at ClimateCare explained: “I’m immensely proud of the team here at ClimateCare. ClimateCare has a long award-winning history but these recent accolades are a reflection of the team’s continued dedication and commitment to delivering positive impacts for people and the environment. I hope that these award wins will encourage others to work with us, taking full responsibility for their social and environmental impacts and allowing us to do even more to protect the environment and improve people’s lives.”

Lindsay concluded:

While there is still much to do, we are seeing more and more organisations taking responsibilities for their climate impact. We are proud to be at the forefront of this much needed change.”

…ends…
