Swarovski is pleased to present its fourth sustainability report, outlining a new vision to ensure the company plays a deeper role in creating a sustainable future. 

Swarovski has always been guided by its founder Daniel Swarovski’s commitment to working in a way that respects the wellbeing of people and the planet. In its fourth sustainability report, published on June 1, the company outlines its refreshed strategy, which stays true to Daniel’s founding vision while also adapting to the global challenges of today.

Nadja Swarovski, Member of the Swarovski Executive Board, commented: “We are delighted to publish our fourth sustainability report, presenting our future vision, ensuring our increased role of responsibility and impact in society and in business”. 

In the report, Swarovski reaffirms its commitment to driving positive change, through improving the environment and the lives of people touched by its supply chain, inspiring and enabling others to be more sustainable and working towards sustainable production and consumption.

The report also details the company’s new strategic direction, defined by five priority themes in the areas in which Swarovski believes it can have the greatest positive impact by employing the unique strengths of the business and the brand: Water Stewardship, Women’s Empowerment, Fair Partnerships, Conscious Design, Sustainable Innovation. Through these priority themes Swarovski seeks to align its efforts with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.

In addition, the report highlights the company’s major sustainability activities and achievements during 2015 and 2016, including industry certifications, successful campaigns and collaborations and progress in reducing the company’s environmental impact. 

  • 70% of our total water demand is met with recycled water across our manufacturing and production locations

  • 26% reduction in total energy consumption since 2010 across our manufacturing and production locations

  • 33% of our energy comes from renewable sources at our manufacturing and production locations
