Global Impact Launches New Local to Global Suite of Services to Provide Integrated Corporate Sustainability Solutions

Global Impact, whose mission is to build partnerships and resources for the world’s most vulnerable people, has launched a new suite of Local to Global services to help businesses connect their global corporate citizenship and social impact initiatives to local communities around the world where they produce, work and serve.

Global Impact’s approach includes a five-step process—Investigate, Strategize, Activate, Amplify, and Evaluate—which creates a pathway for companies to develop an informed and integrated corporate social responsibility (CSR) program and social footprint that connects local communities to global plans and long-term business success. The Local to Global process can also align and enhance the international social impact of businesses resulting in greater reach, a diversified business model and sustainable benefits for community development.

Leveraging in-country community assessments and landscape analysis research, the process works closely with business leaders to set strategic priorities and implement them. This is followed by communicating the company’s vision and investment, and evaluating overall performance and impact. The Local to Global suite of services helps companies achieve maximum impact for their global operations and creates an evidence-based business case for community investment.

“It is our goal through this unique Local to Global approach to ensure socially-responsible business efforts are integrated throughout a company and that they fully incorporate needs and context of local communities where the company operates,” said Ann Wheatley Canela, Vice President of Global Impact. “With the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at the forefront of development, our process also helps ensure a company’s social initiatives are aligned with the goals and targets of this important framework and contribute to its overall success.”
