 Hasbro, Inc. (NASDAQ: HAS) is proud to announce it ranked No. 1 on Newsweek’s 2016 Green Rankings, released today. The ranking assesses the 500 largest publicly traded companies in the United States on overall environmental performance.

Hasbro focuses its environmental sustainability efforts in three key areas: reducing the environmental impacts of products and packaging, partnering with vendors to source and distribute Hasbro products in an environmentally conscious way, and minimizing the environmental footprint of operations. The company also engages employees, consumers and communities to promote a culture of environmental responsibility.

Newsweek’s 2016 Green Rankings is based on research from Corporate Knights Capital and HIP Investor including data from Bloomberg’s Professional Service and features eight rules-based indicators to help assess and measure the environmental performance of the world’s largest publicly traded companies.
