The Motorola Solutions Foundation, the charitable and philanthropic arm of Motorola Solutions Inc, has made a USD 50,000 donation to the American Red Cross for distribution to relief efforts in the Philippines which is recovering from massive devastation in the wake of Super Typhoon Haiyan, one of the strongest storms in recorded history.
Within the company, employee volunteerism drive has been initiated in which the Motorola Solutions Foundation will match up to an additional USD 50,000 in employee giving toward this cause.
Motorola Solutions is also equipping first responders with mission critical communications equipment to assist in disaster recovery efforts.
