(Marketwired) - For the third consecutive year, Bombardier Aerospace has unveiled the winners of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) supplier recognition program, which acknowledges suppliers who distinguish themselves through relentless focus on CSR.

The 2012 CSR supplier awards go to Pratt & Whitney Canada, Aernnova Aerospace and Eaton Aerospace.

"Bombardier Aerospace is shaping the future of mobility, responsibly," said Kristopher Pinnow, Vice President and Chief Procurement Officer, Bombardier Aerospace. "And our suppliers also understand the importance of being dedicated to observing more sustainable practices. This award is a tribute to our suppliers' strategic contribution to Bombardier's CSR stewardship and to their commitment towards achieving a more sustainable global supply chain."

The CSR supplier award is a testament to suppliers' CSR achievements in line with Bombardier's six CSR pillars (governing effectively, valuing employees, building responsible products, operating sustainably, engaging suppliers and acting as a responsible corporate citizen). The recognition program is based on a robust evaluation process where its top suppliers are surveyed on quantifiable CSR achievements.

The Bombardier Aerospace CSR supplier award was launched in 2011 and has since been awarded to 10 suppliers.

In 2013, Bombardier was named one of Canada's top five most attractive employers by Randstad Canada. It has also entered in the Euronext Vigeo World 120 index (a sustainability index launched in November 2012 by NYSE Euronext, the world's largest exchange group, and Vigeo, the leading European expert in responsible performance) to promote and support responsible investment, was ranked 11th on Corporate Knights' 2013 Best 50 Corporate Citizens in Canada, and was included in Sustainalytics' 2013 list of the 50 Most Socially Responsible Corporations in Canada.
