AECOM Technology Corporation, a leading provider of professional technical and management support services for public and private clients in more than 140 countries around the world, announced today that Senior Vice President and Assistant General Counsel, Global Compliance, Susan Frank and Senior Vice President and Chief Communications Officer Paul Gennaro will present at the 2013 Global Ethics Summit, which will be held March 5 and 6, in New York City.
During the opening day session “Anti-Corruption and FCPA Enforcement Trends,” Frank and fellow participants will discuss the impact of recent U.S. Department of Justice and Securities and Exchange Commission guidance as well as the U.K. Bribery Act.
“The importance of having ethical, compliant behavior guide all of a company’s actions cannot be understated,” said Frank. “In today’s business world, an error in judgment can critically damage a company and its people halfway around the globe.”
Later in the day, during the “Ethics and Communication — The Role of CCOs and CMOs in Creating Ethical Culture” session, Gennaro and others will discuss how to help develop a culture of ethics within a global organization, including how to cultivate the necessary relationships between communicators and compliance professionals.
“Now, more than ever, communicators and compliance professionals — along with our other corporate colleagues — need to work together to develop and execute internal communication strategies that foster an ethical business culture, engage our staff and are fun,” said Gennaro. “We also need to partner on external communication programs that emphasize ethics as a differentiating brand attribute, which is increasingly important in the global business marketplace.”
