On Tuesday, September 25, 2012 over 1000 DentaQuest employees throughout the United States participated in a day of community service. DentaQuest is one of America’s leading oral health enterprises and is dedicated to improving the oral health of all. Employees across the country worked with local non-profits, community partners and schools on a variety of service activities including Habitat for Humanity local build projects, painting, beach clean up, beautification projects, and food banks. DentaQuest used this day of service to demonstrate their commitment to their mission and support the communities in which they work and serve.

“At the heart of it all, is our commitment to improving the oral health of all. And it really matters. If you care about education, oral health matters. How can children be successful in school when their mouths are in pain? If you care about jobs, oral health matters. How can you get a job when you are missing front teeth? If you care about defense, oral health matters. The number one reason recruits are rejected from military service is bad oral health. DentaQuest is making a difference,” said Fay Donohue, Dentaquest CEO.

DentaQuest works with partners across the country to eradicate oral disease, improving the likelihood that people will maintain their teeth in good health for their entire lives. DentaQuest is dedicated to improving the oral health of all. [Visit us at dentaquest.com].

“DentaQuest is used to bringing smiles to people’s faces by promoting dental health and care. Today they also created smiles by helping make the dream of homeownership a reality for deserving families,” said Mario Artecona, CEO of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Miami.

Nobody talks about dental diseasebut it is a serious, chronic, infectious illness – and it is
preventable.

  • Dental disease (cavities) is the most common chronic disease in children, more common than asthma.
  • Every year across the United States, children miss 52 million school hours due to dental disease, and adults lose close to 164 million work hours.
  • In 2010, Americans spent $106 billion dollars on oral care.
  • More than 30 million people could not get treatment, including 1 out of 5 children.

“As an enterprise, we understand the importance of preventive care and need to take a leading role in increasing access to quality, affordable care.  This day of service demonstrates our commitment to the communities we serve and underscores our passion to help others,” explained Fay Donohue.
