The VolunteerMatch Corporate Volunteer Awards will be presented at the 2012 Client Summit, in San Francisco

A dozen of the nation’s outstanding employee volunteer programs will be recognized at a ceremony announcing the 2012 VolunteerMatch Corporate Volunteer Awards on May 17 at the 2012 VolunteerMatch Client Summit in San Francisco.

VolunteerMatch is the Web’s largest volunteer engagement network. Best known for the popular website, www.volunteermatch.org, VolunteerMatch also provides tools and services that make it easier for businesses, schools, and government agencies to manage successful volunteer engagement initiatives.

The VolunteerMatch Corporate Volunteer Awards support the organization’s mission by recognizing excellence in volunteer engagement and social impact in the VolunteerMatch family of corporate clients. This year’s awards include “Employee Volunteer Program of the Year” honors in large and small-medium size business categories, “Champion of the Year” recognizing the outstanding teamwork, dedication and spirit of an employee engagement practitioner, and “Breakout Performance” recognizing the success of a newly launched program in the VolunteerMatch network.

“We’re delighted to recognize these finalists as some of the best volunteer programs in America,” said Greg Baldwin, president of VolunteerMatch. “We salute the hard work and commitment of these teams, and we’re proud to support their success.”

Finalists for the Program of the Year awards come from many business sectors and represent diverse approaches to community involvement, but they are united in their commitment to developing programs that inspire employees to participate and give back in innovative ways.
