Clean Hands Webinar Extends the Reach of International Clean Hands Week

The focus on common sense hand hygiene doesn’t stop during International Clean Hands Week (September 18-24, 2011).

The American Cleaning Institute (ACI - www.cleaninginstitute.org) is offering a free, one-hour webinar to educators and health professionals interested in the latest information on raising awareness about handwashing. 

The event takes place Monday October 3, 2011 at 6:30 PM Eastern Time. You can register for this webinar online at https://www2.gotomeeting.com/register/510961714.

“In just 60 minutes, we will share up-to-date information about handwashing that will help others raise the awareness of the importance of hand hygiene in homes, schools, communities and the workplace,” said Nancy Bock, ACI Vice President of Consumer Education, one of the featured speakers.   

"Our experts will share practical information about the science and benefits of handwashing, valuable resources, ways to get involved in Global Handwashing Day (October 15) and how to earn a cash award for school handwashing programs in conjunction with our Healthy Schools, Healthy People, It's a SNAP program."

Joining Bock as webinar presenters are:

  • Kim Knoche; Forsyth High School (Forsyth, Montana); Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) Adviser and teacher.
  • Vince Radke, MPH, RS, CP-FS, DAAS, CPH, Sanitarian; Centers for Disease Control and Prevention - National Center for Environmental Health.
  • Michele Samarya-Timm; Somerset County (NJ) Health Department; Health Educator / Registered Environmental Health Specialist.
