John Eagle Honda of Houston, Houston's premier Honda dealership, is proud to announce their title sponsorship for the first annual Care2Spin™ fundraiser on September 17, 2011, benefitting Easter Seals Greater Houston.

Care2Spin™ is a unique marathon where individuals can engage in any activity that spins to raise money for Easter Seals and their partners. On September 17, thousands of Houstonians will gather to engage in "spin" initiatives - be it riding their bikes through their neighborhood, cycling on a stationary bike at the local gym, test driving a Honda at John Eagle Honda, skateboarding, mowing lawns, riding a golf cart, spinning laundry in the washing machine, local bakers spinning their mixers, DJ's spinning records, the options are endless.

John Eagle Honda's team has pledged $100,000.00, creating a solution for potential cuts to current clients and creating ways to accommodate more families currently on a waiting list.

"I am truly honored and excited to be working with Easter Seals as I believe in their mission and know that our community can help each other to make lives easier," said Mac Delaup, president and managing partner of John Eagle Honda. "As soon as the Care2Spin team told me about the September 17th event, I was on board. It is all about the kids and giving back, that is what all of this is for."

According to a recent study by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, one in six U.S. children are diagnosed with a developmental disability. Care2Spin™ is an opportunity for Houstonians to help the clients of Easter Seals participate in new and creative therapies and technology-based programs that will ultimately change the lives of over 5,500 Houstonians with special needs, and the families served, each year. Easter Seals' programs focus on helping ensure children with all types of disabilities have a chance to live full, independent and productive lives.

"Mac truly exemplifies what makes Houston so strong," said Elise Hough, CEO of Easter Seals Greater Houston. "He works hard and with integrity, providing a great product and excellent service while quietly giving back to the community in a socially responsible and impactful way. We are so grateful that his generosity and vision will give more Houstonians with disabilities the help they need to live as fully participating members of our community."

Starting June 18, participants are encouraged to join John Eagle Honda and Care2Spin™ as we give2gether at http://bit.ly/JEHcare2spin. September 17, 2011, Houstonians will be encouraged to spin anyway, anywhere. From 8 A.M. to noon, the top 25 fundraisers will participate in a Spin Marathon at John Eagle Honda, located at 18787 Northwest Freeway, with the kids and families representing Easter Seals cheering them on. From noon to 3 P.M., a celebration for all Care2Spin™ fundraisers, sponsors, media partners and Easter Seals families will take place at John Eagle Honda.
