BrownFlynn and the Nance College of Business at Cleveland State University (CSU) are partnering to facilitate and host the largest Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) certified training event in the world on April 17-18, 2011 in CSU's new student center ballroom. The training, sponsored by PricewaterhouseCoopers and several other local companies, will be offered free-of-charge to nearly 200 select MBA students and college seniors from 14 colleges and universities throughout Ohio.

The GRI training addresses the growing importance of environmental, social and governance (ESG) impacts and its relationship to business value. BrownFlynn and the Nance College of Business believe it is critical to prepare the next generation of business leaders on the implications and impacts these emerging trends have on business.

"We're pleased to provide this valuable training to so many top-quality students who are passionate about invoking positive change in our communities and throughout the world. By helping them better understand the GRI and its benefits to businesses and society, we hope to positively impact their lives and careers for decades to come," said Margie Flynn, Principal and Co-owner of BrownFlynn.

Further, Robert F. Scherer, Dean of the Nance College of Business at CSU, said, "Our College is firmly committed to developing global leaders in the classroom by offering them a first-class education with real-world experience. This training is an ideal example of how we provide such opportunities to our students and to those joining us from across Ohio."

To celebrate their 15th year in business, BrownFlynn has committed to a year-long effort in 2011 to educate its community and the world about the importance of sustainability. Therefore, the Firm and the Nance College of Business have donated their resources to make the training accessible to as many students as possible.
