Today, Adopt-A-Watt® Inc. proudly announces it has met all requirements to become a Certified B Corporation.

Thomas A. Wither, Founder and Principal of the National Adopt-A-Watt® Program stated, "because Certified B Corporations meet higher standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability, we are very pleased to become a part of this growing movement."

Wither goes on to say, "unlike traditional corporations, Certified B Corporations are legally required to consider the impact of their decisions on their employees, suppliers, community, consumers, and environment"¦this has always been our 'priority one' goal."

About NAAWP -- Modeled after the successful Adopt-A-Highway acknowledgment program, the National Adopt-A-Watt® Program gives sponsors community recognition for funding clean energy, alternative fuel and energy-efficiency projects.

The program arranges and coordinates all sponsorship, financing, installation and ongoing maintenance for sponsor-able photo-voltaic displays (SPVD). An SPVD is either a complete .5 kW solar electric system or a solar lighting system. SPVDs uniquely save or generate clean energy and offer a new source of revenue to fund other energy-saving equipment or alternative fuel vehicles and infrastructure.

Sponsorship of SPVDs is arranged via a virtual auction process at the National Adopt-A-Watt® Program website: www.adopt-a-watt.com. This permits global participation and matches sponsor needs with optional locations.

NAAWP is endorsed by many prominent alternative fuel organizations and has the support of (43) Clean Cities coalitions in (22) states.
