MYTILINEOS Group presented awards to three students (Desinioti Christina, Malichoudi Anna Maria and Papadimitriou Margarita) of the Department of Banking and Financial Management at the University of Piraeus for the academic year 2009-2010 at a ceremony held at the University of Piraeus, on Tuesday, December 7, 2010. The awards rewarded the efforts of the students for excellence during their studies.

It is the 10th year that the Group maintains the MYTILINEOS Scholarship programme at the University of Piraeus.

Regarding EPC projects, the Group has established its presence in the sector through its METKA subsidiary which has developed into the leading EPC Company (Engineering-Procurement-Construction) in Greece and is acknowledged as one of the most specialized and internationally renowned constructors of energy projects in Europe. METKA, which is listed on the Athens Stock Exchange, implements turn-key projects from their engineering and procurement stage to their construction, primarily for combined-cycle, conventional thermal and hydroelectric power plants.
