/PRNewswire/ - Overstock.com, Inc. (Nasdaq: OSTK) today announced that the company earned the #9 spot on Glassdoors 2011 list of the top 50 Best Places to Work in the United States. The rankings are a result of a survey completed by more than 150,000 employees who submitted company reviews on Glassdoor during 2010.

"The hallmark of Overstock's unique work culture is our focus on customer and employee satisfaction," said Overstock.com President Jonathan Johnson. "Our employees live and breathe our mission: We save people money. As it turns out, they derive real satisfaction in meeting that goal."

The Best Places to Work list is determined by overall ratings on Glassdoor, using a 20-question company survey that captures employees' attitudes about topics ranging from senior leadership and career opportunities to employee morale and work/life balance.

Overstock.com has garnered numerous awards in its ongoing quest to perfect customer and employee satisfaction. In 2008, Overstock.com earned the Gartner and 1 to 1 User's Choice Award for overall exemplary customer relationship strategy, and won the Gold Medal award in the field of Customer Service Optimization.
