(Marketwire) - Talent management leader Halogen Software is kicking off the holiday season with a special giving campaign, the company announced today. In collaboration with its customers, Halogen created a flash mob video to raise awareness and funds for World Education, Inc., an organization dedicated to improving the lives of the poor through education, and economic and social development programs. Halogen will donate $10,000 to World Education when views of the video reach 100,000.

The video, filmed at the Aviation and Space Museum, features hundreds of HR professionals who joined Halogen in a flash mob dance to the song "Airplanes" by the artist B.o.B. The popular song was used with permission, courtesy of Rebel Rock/ Grand Hustle/ Atlantic Records, and was selected for its message about wishing for better times, a theme that resonates during the holiday season. The video can be seen at www.halogensoftware.com/worldeducation.

"We are delighted that Halogen has chosen World Education for its 2010 campaign. Access to education has a direct impact on the quality of life for people of all cultures and age groups," says Joel Lamstein, President of World Education. "Quite simply, education leads to better health and less poverty. The funds that Halogen is helping to raise will go a long way to supporting our efforts to improve the lives and the prospects of the poor - particularly girls and women - in developing countries and the United States. Thanks to Halogen, their customers, and Atlantic Records for their generosity in creating this unique campaign. We hope that people everywhere will see - and share - this video!"

The inspiration for the charitable video campaign came from Halogen's customers and the work they do to develop the best and brightest talent for their organizations. In the workplace, investment in employee development contributes to organizational performance and is a key focus for human resources professionals. World Education projects are designed to contribute to individual growth, and community and national development. This alignment between the goals of Halogen's customers and the focus of World Education make World Education the ideal recipient of this fundraiser.

Halogen participates in charitable programs and projects throughout the year, and organizing the flash mob was a unique way to involve their customers in one of these initiatives. "Social responsibility is a part of the corporate culture at Halogen. Since our customers are integral to our success as a company, inviting them to participate in creating this video with us was a fun and meaningful way to demonstrate that commitment," said Paul Loucks, President and CEO of Halogen.
