Just in time for the holiday season, ING employees in the U.S. demonstrated their spirit of giving during this year's ING Employee Giving Campaign, raising nearly $2 million for charities across the nation. Employees made individual contributions to their favorite charities and hosted fundraising events to raise additional money for local nonprofit organizations with which they volunteer through the company's national employee volunteer program.

"At ING, we understand that every act, no matter how big or small, can have a positive impact in the community," said Rhonda Mims, president of the ING Foundation and senior vice president, ING's Office of Corporate Responsibility and Multicultural Affairs. "Collectively, because of the generosity of our employees, more children will receive the tools they need to focus on learning, food banks will be better stocked, and more services will be delivered to the underserved."

Each year, employees across 14 ING locations from Atlanta to New York to Des Moines and in between participate in the ING Employee Giving Campaign, contributing easily through payroll deduction or other methods. This year, nearly 40% of employees participated in the campaign.
