The 2010 Partnership Award, the "people's choice" award in corporate citizenship, has already garnered votes from more than 10,000 people from around the world. The Partnership Award is a category within the U.S. Chamber BCLC's prestigious annual Corporate Citizenship Awards.
Voters between October 21 and November 5, 2010, are eligible to enter drawings for giveaways from JetBlue (two roundtrip airline tickets), Best Buy ($100 gift cards), Wegmans ($100 gift cards), and GlobalGiving ($25 gift cards). The purpose of the Partnership Award is to raise awareness about successful examples of businesses and nonprofit organizations working together to address important social causes. "Partnerships between businesses and NGOs are more important than ever," said BCLC Executive Director Stephen Jordan. "BCLC encourages everyone to get involved in the 2010 Partnership Award voting opportunity, and to spread the word about the contributions these partnerships are making."

The inspirational stories from Amway, Caterpillar, Deloitte, Microsoft, Qualcomm, and their NGO partners are available on the Partnership Award website, www.corporatecitizenshipvote.com. Last year, more than 20,000 voters selected the Discovery Channel Global Education Partnership (DCGEP) and Chevron Corporation as the winners of the Partnership Award. Together, DCGEP and Chevron have built learning centers in dozens of underserved schools in countries such as Angola, Nigeria, South Africa, Venezuela, and Brazil.
