Wacom® Technology Services Corp. today aligns with the Oregon and SW Washington affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure® to help in the fight against breast cancer. From October 1 to December 25, Wacom will donate a generous percentage of Bamboo™ Craft sales revenue to the Susan G. Komen foundation.

Wacom has a strong history of donating to charitable organizations and the program with Susan G. Komen demonstrates its commitment to help fund important causes. "Bamboo Craft and Susan G. Komen are a natural fit and the perfect springboard for giving," says Dennis Hoff, senior consumer product manager at Wacom and initiator of the program. "Our Bamboo Craft Pen and Touch tablet holds a special place among the growing community of digital scrapbookers, quilters and crafters. This same community also tends to be very close knit with an amazing capacity to help others and build awareness over important issues. It truly is the ideal match to generate support and Wacom and its customer base look forward to rallying behind Susan G. Komen for the Cure and contributing to their wonderful cause."

Additionally, during the month of October, Wacom's Pen Scrappers website (www.penscrappers.com) is sponsoring the "Season of Hope" commemorating everyone whose lives have been touched by breast cancer. Lori Barnhurst, a Pen Scrappers expert panelist, designed a beautiful kit in remembrance of her grandmother who battled breast cancer most of her adult life and died ten years ago from complications from a relapse.

Wacom will be making a donation to the Oregon and SW Washington affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure on behalf of each person who submits a layout to "Season of Hope". Layouts can be uploaded starting October 4 and interested parties can find out all the details by visiting the Pen Scrappers site.

About Susan G. Komen for the Cure

Nancy G. Brinker promised her dying sister, Susan G. Komen, she would do everything in her power to end breast cancer forever. In 1982, that promise became Susan G. Komen for the Cure and launched the global breast cancer movement. Today, Komen for the Cure is the world's largest grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists fighting to save lives, empower people, ensure quality care for all and energize science to find the cures. Thanks to events like the Komen Race for the Cure, we have invested nearly $1 billion to fulfill our promise, becoming the largest source of nonprofit funds dedicated to the fight against breast cancer in the world.
