The Voilá Foundation announced today the addition of Tanya Baskin as its Executive Director. Tanya will lead the Foundation's mission to support relief and development efforts in Haiti that not only will address Haiti's pressing needs - for education, youth development, health care, and jobs - but that can also be scaled for deployment across the country.
"We are excited to have Tanya join our team," said Brad Horwitz, President and CEO of Trilogy International Partners and a founding director of the Voilá Foundation. "Her experience will be a great asset to the Foundation as we continue building our programs and expand collaboration with NGOs working in Haiti." In order to ensure that all of the donations made to the Voilá Foundation go directly to Haitian reconstruction programs, Tanya will be an employee of Trilogy International Partners, which owns and operates Voilá, one of the leading wireless carriers in Haiti.
Tanya previously served as the Vice President of Corporate Partnerships for the Special Olympics organization. At Special Olympics, Tanya led efforts to secure corporate sponsors and to manage the branding, marketing, and promotion of events. Tanya is a seasoned executive with a proven track record of success in implementing innovative, strategic corporate partnerships. She is highly skilled at identifying philanthropic and development opportunities, and will manage campaigns that will leverage the assets of the Voilá Foundation.
Tanya will be based in Washington, DC to help coordinate with U.S. government agencies and NGOs that are engaged in the Haitian reconstruction effort. For more information on the Voilá Foundation, go to www.voilafoundation.com.
