Annie's Fun and McCain Foods Make Major Donation to Ronald McDonald House Charities(R) of Chicagoland & Northwest Indiana

/PRNewswire-USNewswire/ - At a recent special reception (view below or click http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mg3ZuHiZl-M) in Chicago, Annie's Fun and McCain Foods USA announced a major donation to Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Chicagoland & Northwest Indiana (RMHC®-CNI).

During the presentation at the reception, Blaine Hirai, (Chair of Annie's Fun), and Tim Nevins (Vice President of McCain Food's U.S. McDonald's Business Unit) jointly presented a check to Doug Porter, Executive Director of the RMHC®-CNI (http://picasaweb.google.com/109871738078417495055/080210AnnieSFunAndMcCainFoodsSpecialReceptionInChicagoWithTheRMHCCNI#5503508364494168610). The donation is part of a two-year commitment by Annie's Fun and McCain Foods to build a room in a new Ronald McDonald House that will be constructed in Chicago.

Nestled among four world-class hospitals, the new Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago, Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Prentice Women's Hospital and the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago, this House will serve as a haven of comfort, compassion and hope for families who travel from all parts of the globe to provide their children the finest health care.

In addition, special awards were presented by Blaine Hirai of Annie's Fun and Doug Porter of the RMHC-CNI to Wai Ling Eng of the Asian-American McDonald's Operators Association (AMOA) and Kevin Bradley, Director of Diversity of McDonald's USA (http://picasaweb.google.com/109871738078417495055/080210AnnieSFunAndMcCainFoodsSpecialReceptionInChicagoWithTheRMHCCNI#5503508355628385586), respectively, in appreciation of their outstanding efforts to support and promote Ronald McDonald House® Charities of Chicagoland & Northwest Indiana.

Approximately 30 people attended the special reception, including senior representatives of McDonald's, the RMHC®-CNI, the AMOA, McCain Foods USA and Annie's Fun.
