Investors' Circle, a national network of socially responsible angel and institutional investors that has facilitated over $134 million in start up funding, is showing its continued dedication to the growth of mission-driven businesses and inviting social and environmental entrepreneurs to apply to present to its network. Applications are currently being accepted online through IC's Angelsoft-hosted deal platform, and the application deadline for company submissions is July 30, 2010. IC will then begin its rigorous, multi-step selection process that culminates with 20 companies chosen to pitch to a national gathering of IC members and other accredited investors at the IC Fall 2010 Venture Fair, November 11, 2010 in Washington, DC.
Chosen presenters will include companies that address specific social and environmental concerns and represent the Energy & Environment, Sustainable Consumer Products, Media & Education, Community & International Development, and Health & Wellness sectors. During the venture fair, presenting entrepreneurs will be given the opportunity to engage with an exclusive community of individual and institutional impact investors. "Investors' Circle is by far the most active network of investors dedicated to investing in high-impact, early stage ventures," says Matt Lombardi, IC co-Director, adding that its members "provide financing to mission-driven companies while also bringing a wealth of intellectual capital and industry experience to the table."
