Nonprofit fundraisers and development staff have an opportunity to hone their prospecting skills in a new online course from Ventureneer.
The 2-session class, Nonprofit Leaders Can Pan for Gold: Find Your Best Donor Prospects NOW! will show nonprofit leaders how to use online resources to make their development departments more effective and increase their revenue streams.
"A gold-mine of donor information is out there," says Geri Stengel, founder of Ventureneer. "This nonprofit management training is a practical, affordable approach to the real-life donor needs of participants."
In this nonprofit management training course, nonprofit leaders, development staff, and fundraisers will find out how to identify hidden nuggets in their own donor database and find new donors in outside databases. Participants will develop and hone online research skills to better identify wealthy prospects.
"It's about real-life, your organization's life, not theoretical scenarios," says Maria Semple, instructor. "Lengthening your list of major donors can offset still-to-come cuts in government and foundation income. You need to find that Mother Lode of donors in your own community."
Maria Semple, Principal of The Prospect Finder LLC, is an experienced researcher, trainer, and speaker on the topic of prospect research. She consults with nonprofit organizations interested in finding and connecting with their best prospects for long-term relationships.
The class will be held Tuesday, June 15, and Thursday, June 24, from 2 to 3 pm. ET. It costs $325 and includes bonuses.
The curriculum is focused on finding higher-net-worth donors through both free and fee-based databases, using effective prospecting techniques, and implementing best practices in maintaining donor records.
As a bonus, each participant will receive:
