PDMA/LA, the Los Angeles chapter of the Product Development and Management Association, will present a panel presentation on green product development at Otis College of Art and Design on Wednesday, June 2nd 2010 from 6PM to 9PM. "Best Practices in SustainableProduct Development -- Industry experts share their tools, tips, tricks and secrets for getting it right" will be presented in collaboration with IDSA/LA, the LA chapter of the Industrial Design Society of America.

The event will be moderated by Jaime Nack, President of Three Squares, Inc. and will feature a panel of experts on key elements of sustainable product development. Heidren Mumper-Drumm, Associate Professor and Director of Sustainability Initiatives at Art Center College of Design, will discuss green package design, and Topher Paterno, environmentally conscious designer from Otis College of Art and Design, will talk about using green materials in design.

David Penderson, Supply Chain Director for Resources Global Professionals, will explain how to green your supply chain, and Susan Collins, Executive Director of Container Recycling Institute, will outline best practices in waste stream management. An example of a green product company will be presented by Paul Shustak, Co-founder & COO, Kor Water -- awarded "Best Drink Bottle" by Men's Fitness Magazine April 2010.

"With so many new products being designed and developed every day, going green is a great way to differentiate and add value while acting responsibly to the environment." Rafael Lopes, president of PDMA LA explains, "And the market for green products is growing every day. This can't-miss event will provide insight into how to compete in this lucrative market."
